Purchases are billed through the customer’s Microsoft agreement, on the Microsoft invoice they already receive.
Adoption as durable evidence
Aristo works hand in hand with Microsoft: it never reduces a customer’s spend. Idle seats are rerouted, never removed, and consumption grows on counted proof — a wider spigot at the org level, and a handle that turns faster. Microsoft governs the credit; Aristo governs the decision and the reconciliation.
Aristo makes license activity, AI consumption, readiness and measured intervention visible in one recurring view — useful in value, adoption and renewal conversations. Pay-as-you-go Copilot and agent usage is metered through Azure Cost Management, so consumption is counted in the customer’s own subscription and the ACR is theirs to see.
What Microsoft governs, and where Aristo stands
From 2 November 2026, new Microsoft 365 Copilot Business seats bought through a partner bill pay-as-you-go by default. Microsoft’s own cost management sets limits, alerts and routes credit requests. Aristo answers the questions that stay open: which spending policy wins for a group and what a member can spend today; whether an approved request was fulfilled and whether the bill agreed, held in a reconciliation ledger, with the decide step as Owner approval by the business owner who holds the budget rather than an IT queue; who actually needs the paid seat now that Basic exists — read as right-sizing that funds the next activation wave; and what last quarter cost, where Microsoft’s report keeps 30 days.
